After jumping on the back of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens hype for Sharknado 4: The Fourth Awakens, the aquatic franchise is cashing in on US politics for the fifth instalment, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming. Note the film’s tagline (‘Make America Bait Again’). We don’t have particularly strong feelings about anything going on here.
The poster was first published on E! Online, and features the return of Ian Ziering’s hero Fin, Tara Reid’s cyborg April and Cassie Scerbo’s Nova.
In the fifth film in what will hopefully be the Sharknado pentalogy, Fin and April are set to follow the sharknado around the world while enlisting a range of royals, scholars, athletes and celebrities in an attempt to stop it.
