Sex Criminals TV show will probably break the telly

Marvel’s Matt Fraction & Kelly Sue DeConnick sign Sex Criminals deal with Universal TV

Jon and Suzie discover their shared powers in Sex Criminals #1

Marvel writing powerhouses (and husband and wife duo) Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick have signed up with Universal TV to develop Fraction’s Image Comics title Sex Criminals, according to Deadline.

The Eisner-award winning Sex Criminals, which Fraction co-created with artist Chip Zdarsky, is the saucy supernatural crime caper of a struggling actor who discovers his powerful orgasms can freeze time, and he’s surprised to stumble across a woman with the exact same condition.

Together Jon and Suzie embark upon a crime spree with added fumbling.

Fraction and DeConnick have signed a two-year deal and the site reports that they will “adapt some of their comic books as well as original TV series concepts. They also plan to use their Milkfed Criminal Masterminds production company as a TV launchpad for other comic creators’ IP.”
