After a difficult couple of months (for Sense8 fans, at least) where it looked like the show might not be getting another series, Netflix has at last confirmed that Sense8 Season 2 is in fact happening!
The second season was announced when Netflix US tweeted this adorable video celebrating Lito, Nomi, Sun, Capheus, Will, Riley, Wolfgang and Kala’s birthdays (08/08 of course), in which the cast gave their good wishes and revealed the news.

For a while there a renewal could go either way, which is understandable. Sense8 requires quite a sizeable budget owing to the fact that it is filmed on location all over the world.
