We’ve heard quite a lot recently about how MTV’s Scream TV series will differentiate itself from Wes Craven’s movies, but it looks like the pilot will adhere pretty closely to the film for one major scene.
This probably counts as spoilers, so here’s a warning to look away if you’d rather go in cold.
Bloody Disgusting confirmed reports that the pilot episode will be recreating the classic Drew Barrymore scene from the first film, with the newly cast Bella Thorne going through the scary movie quiz.
During a Yahoo Celebrity Facebook chat, Thorne stated that “Yes it is true. I will re-enact the famous scene of Drew Barrymore in the original series.”
What do you think? The meta element of is obviously hugely important so it will be interesting to see if this adds another layer of self-referencing to the show, or if it’s just the neatest possible way to reintroduce people to the concept.
