Rogue One poster gathers together the Rebels

Felicity Jones looms large in the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story poster

It’s nearly time – it’s just a couple of months before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first standalone movie from a galaxy far, far away, and in among all the new snippets of information that are being dropped our way, we also have a new poster, as tweeted out by the official Star Wars Twitter account:

In our view, this definitely delivers. All the main characters? Check. Panorama photo of the Imperial forces? Check? Looming Death Star/Darth Vader combo? Check. In short, it’s everything you could want from a Star Wars poster. And with the final trailer due to drop later on today, we’re sure something exciting is in store.

The first Star Wars standalone movie is being helmed by Gareth Edwards, working from a script penned by Chris Weitz, Gary Whitta, John Knoll and Tony Gilroy, with the cast including Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Wen Jiang, Alan Tudyk, Forest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn and Mads Mikkelsen.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released in cinemas on 16 December 2016. You can download Star Wars: Expanded Universe – The Complete Manual from, and watch our video review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens now. For all the latest Star Wars news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
