Rob Zombie’s 31 new poster goes full grindhouse

Check out the awesome new poster for Rob Zombie’s 31

Rob Zombie’s crowdfunded horror 31 is just around the corner, especially for those lucky enough to be catching it at Horror Channel FrightFest this month, and there’s an awesome new poster for you (via IMPAwards).

“A camper van of carnival workers are kidnapped in the middle of nowhere by a trio of debauched decadents. Set loose in a derelict factory compound full of creepy passages containing nasty traps, the abductors led by Father Murder place bets on who will survive the longest in a 12-hour period of pain and maim against an array of sadistic clowns with such clear-cut nicknames as Psycho-Head, Sick-Head, Death-Head and Sex-Head.”

The film has a dependably awesome cast of genre veterans (as you’d expect from a Zombie movie), including Malcolm McDowell, Meg Foster, Sheri Moon Zombie, Lew Temple, Judy Geeson and Tracy Walter, while the excellent Richard Brake leads the murder clowns as Doom Head.

We’re excited to see the film, especially given that the crowd-funded nature of the film means that Zombie can really just cut loose and go for it. Although doing whatever interests him never exactly been a problem for him, as Lords Of Salem proved. His movies are often a bit hit and miss, but he’s always an interesting filmmaker to watch and 31 feels as though it’s right in his wheelhouse. Murder clowns? A place called Murder World? Malcom McDowell? This couldn’t be any more Rob Zombie if it tried.

31 plays at Horror Channel FrightFest on Sunday 28 August and you can find ticket information here.
