Deadline Hollywood has reported today that Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is gathering up some impressive pre-release figures.
Over on movietickets.com the blockbuster sequel accounts for 13 per cent of the website’s ticket sales – that’s two weeks before its release in the States. From this percentage, 68 per cent of males intend to see the film on its opening weekend, and 62 per cent of women also have the same inclination. Furthermore, 83 per cent of those in the age range of under 25 intend to see the film in this launch period, as well as 81 per cent in the 25-34 region.
This really gives cause for thought at just how popular the film is going to be. With projected figures looking more than optimistic, it’s a fair bet that Revenge Of The Fallen could well be crowned box-office champion come the end of the year.
Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is released in the UK on 19 June 2009 and will be open for wider distribution in the following week.
