Powers Season 2 confirmed by PlayStation Network

PlayStation confirms a second season for their gritty superhero series Powers


PowersThe PlayStation Network has confirmed that gritty superhero show Powers, based on the comic by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, has been renewed for a second season.

IGN reports that show, developed by Bendis and Charlie Huston, will return in 2016. Sony exec John Koller stated that “The reception to Powers has been incredible and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind, We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of Powers.”

Powers stars Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward as a pair of detectives tasked with policing those with superpowers. The cast also includes Michelle Forbes, Noah Taylor and Eddie Izzard.
