Bad news for fans of NBC’s Powerless, as the network has pulled the remaining episodes from its schedule.
TVLine reports that the two remaining episodes of the DC comedy have been yanked which means that a cancellation isn’t far away. The ratings for Powerless did not start in the best possible place and they have not improved. Their slot is being filled with repeats of Superstore. Hmmm.
The show starred “Vanessa Hudgens as the research director at a security company that protects average citizens from the superhero battles raging all around them.” Hudgens stars alongside Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk, Ron Funches, Jennie Pierson and Alan Tudyk as Bruce Wayne’s cousin.
Things got off to a fairly rocky start when showrunner Ben Queen left in August last year to be replaced by Patrick Schumacker, who sent this tweet about the gloomy fate of the show.
#Powerless will not air this week or next. This, I know for sure. I can guess some other things but they’re not good. Thanks for watching.

It was DC’s first comedy series but it seems like it never really got off the ground. We were still waiting on a UK broadcaster…
