Power Rangers poster activates the Zords

Meet the Zords – well, one of them – in the new Power Rangers poster

It’s morphin’ time indeed. While we’ve seen some of the Zords (that’s giant robotic dinosaurs to you newbies) in these posters (along with some questionable poses from their pilots) for the new Power Rangers movie, we haven’t seen them up close yet, so to speak.

Admittedly, the latest poster only gives us a real good glimpse at the Yellow Ranger’s Sabre-toothed Tiger (the Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Pterodacty and Triceratops are all shrouded in fog in the background), and we’re not convinced that this version looks especially tiger-y, but hell, there’s still time. Hopefully the other four will look a bit better.

You can read the official synopsis and check out the new poster for Power Rangers below:

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
