Power Rangers movie chooses its Black Ranger

The Power Rangers movie has added a third ranger to its cast

Following the casting additions of Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger and Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, the cast of Dean Israelite’s Power Rangers movie has been further fleshed out with the addition of a third cast member: Ludi Lin, who will play the Black Ranger, as revealed by the below Twitter post:Screen shot 2015-10-23 at 08.47.22

Like Montgomery, Lin is a relative newcomer to film. His most high-profile appearance to date has been in an episode of the Netflix series Marco Polo, alongside film roles in Holiday Spin and Monster Hunt. Regardless, after his latest role, we’ll bet a few more will have heard of him.

With Israelite (Project Almanac) directing, the screenplay is being penned by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class, Thor).

Power Rangers will be released in cinemas on 13 January 2017. For more news on the biggest movies, pick up the latest issue of SciFiNow.
