The Host, adapted and directed by Andrew Niccol (Gattaca, In Time), is Stephenie Meyer’s follow-up project to Twilight.
The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Kruger, William Hurt and Frances Fisher, and is set in a world where parasitic aliens have taken over the human race.
But when Melanie ‘Mel’ Stryder is taken over by one of the invading ‘Souls’ called Wanderer, she manages to cling onto her sense of self and steer the alien towards the man she loves, Jared.
And now Wanderer feels what Mel feels, she kinda likes him too… It’s going to be the weirdest love triangle ever!
The Host will be released in the UK on 29 March 2013.
