Philip Seymour Hoffman wanted for The Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire

Mission Impossible III villain and all-round brilliant actor Philip Seymour Hoffman is being lined up to play head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensebee in The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. The actor has been offered the role in Francis Lawrence’s coming adaptation of the second book, according to Deadline, and would add to the already significant acting pedigree we saw in the first film. The film has a release date set for November 2013.
