Pet Sematary remake cast keeps getting better, Amy Seimetz is on board

The awesome Amy Seimetz is the latest addition the excellent Pet Sematary cast

The remake of Stephen King’s classic Pet Sematary is coming together very nicely, and another excellent name has joined Jason Clarke and John Lithgow in the cast.

Variety reports that the brilliant Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way To Die, Alien: Covenant, Stranger Things) is in talks to play Rachel Creed, who moves with husband Louis and their children to a lovely Maine house near a very busy road…

Clarke is on board to play Louis, while Lithgow has been perfectly cast as Jud Crandall. Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer, who gave us the striking festival favourite horror Starry Eyes, are directing from a script by Jeff Buhler.

The story “follows the travails of a family who moves into a new home next to a cemetery endowed with powers that allow the creatures buried in it to come back from the dead.”

Now we just need a great Victor Pascow and a King cameo and we’re off to the races…

Pet Sematary will be released on 19 April 2019. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
