Although today was supposed to give the definitive answers to what is and what isn’t returning in the autumn, there remains a number of properties that haven’t had an official word on whether they’re staying or going yet, summarised below.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
– UPDATE: The show has not been included in Fox’s primetime drama slate, and is therefore safe to list as cancelled.
– Largely expected to be cancelled, and reported in several places as being so, there is still no official yes or no on a third outing for this franchise spin-off. Thomas Dekker, who plays John Connor, has said recently in a video log that he doesn’t know what’s happening either.
Medium – There is still no word on this relatively long-running show either. However, The Hollywood Reporter is murmuring that it may move to CBS from its current network, NBC, in the same way that Scrubs jumped to ABC from NBC last year.
Reaper – Earlier last week there was a rumour circulating that Reaper may continue in syndication. There has been no official word either way on this topic, however, Sci Fi Wire spoke to Jenny Wade earlier who said that she would return as a guest star to the show rather than a series regular if it did come back. Most of the cast currently have other projects lined up, although contractual obligations could force them to return to the show should it move from The CW.
The list of other shows on the bubble includes: The Mentalist, Eleventh Hour, A Town Called Eureka, Virtuality
The list of shows renewed includes: Supernatural, Heroes, Sanctuary, Lost, Fringe, Smallville, Chuck, Dollhouse, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Ghost Whisperer, Merlin.
The list of shows officially cancelled/finished includes: Battlestar Galactica, Knight Rider, Stargate Atlantis, Pushing Daisies, Kings, Life On Mars, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
The list of pickups so far includes: Eastwick, V, Flash Forward, Day One, Vampire Diaries, Past Life, Human Target.
