Stuntman Derek Mears has been cast as the hockey-mask wearing murderer in the upcoming Friday The 13th remake.
Mears, who has worked on the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies and the forthcoming Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, as well as appearing in The Hills Have Eyes 2, will star opposite Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki in the horror remake. Friday The 13th will be directed by Marcus Nispel who, as the director of the Texas Chainsaw remake, has experience re-tooling horror classics for contemporary audiences.
