Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star in Netflix’s upcoming horror-thriller Things Seen & Heard, according to THR.
Seyfried is best known for her work in films like Mean Girls, Mamma Mia, In Time, Les Misérables and Jennifer’s Body. She has also had recurring roles in TV series like Veronica Mars, Big Love and Veronica Mars.
Things Seen And Heard is co-written and co-directed by American Splendor‘s Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. It follows a young couple who move to a farm near a small town in upstate New York. Once there, they discover their new home is cursed by the murder of its former owners and while dark secrets are revealed about their past, the couple’s marriage is revealed to have secrets of its own.
Seyfried is in talks to play the wife, who struggles to adjust to her new small-town life and believes her house in haunted. The film is yet to cast the husband.
The film is an adaptation of Elizabeth Brudage’s horror novel All Things Cease To Appear, and is being produced by Anthony Bregman (In The Heights), Steganie Azpiazu, Peter Cron and Julie Cohen.
