Netflix adapting Millarworld’s Reborn with Sandra Bullock and Chris McKay

Netflix is working on a film adaptation of Millarworld’s sci-fi comic book series Reborn

Netflix is working on an adaptation of Millarworld comic book series Reborn, according to Deadline.

The film is set to be directed by The LEGO Batman Movie‘s Chris McKay, and produced by Sandra Bullock alongside Roy Lee and Miri Yoon for Vertigo Entertainment.

Reborn, which was created by Mark Millar and Greg Capullo, follows an eighty-year-old woman named Bonnie Black who dies in a Manhattan hospital, only to be reborn in the prime of her life in the afterlife world of Adystria, the magical land of monsters, dragons and wars between good and evil. There, she meets up with old friends and loved ones, but cannot find her husband who died before her. Teaming up with her late father, she goes on a quest to look for him.

It is believed that Sandra Bullock could potentially be cast in the lead role, but that hasn’t been confirmed. Millar and Capullo will be serving as executive producers, and Samantha Nisenboim as a co-producer.

Reborn is just one of many Millarworld projects Netflix will likely work on in the near future, having required required Mark Millar’s publishing label in 2017.
