News on Nicolas Winding Refn’s follow-up to Drive has been pretty thin on the ground of late. Now, things have changed, as we have our first image from the film: Elle Fanning in fittingly gory get-up, as you can see from the below pic.
According to the synopsis, The Neon Demon revolves around Fanning playing an aspiring model who moves to LA, where “her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will take any means necessary to get what she has.” Judging by the picture, things will definitely get ugly.
In addition, the film has been acquired by Amazon Studios, who will distribute it theatrically in one of their most high-profile deals to date. In addition to Fanning, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee and Bela Heathcoat are also involved.
