We’re big fans of writer-director Neil Marshall, whose cinematic output includes Dog Soldiers, The Descent, Doomsday and Centurion. Recently he’s mostly worked in TV, with great success, directing episodes of Hannibal, Constantine and Game Of Thrones.
Now, it looks like he’s finally lined up his next big screen outing: futuristic revenge thriller The Sentence.
Deadline reports that Marshall will direct from a script by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt. It’s reportedly in the vein of Death Wish, but that’s about it as far as details go.
Marshall has been linked to a number of very exciting projects over the last few years, including The Last Voyage Of The Demeter and the Troll Hunter remake, and he was also talking about a Blumhouse movie over at Arrow In The Head last year. Fingers crossed that The Sentence has a speedier, smoother path to production.
Next up, however, is Tales Of Halloween, the anthology horror that is closing FrightFest this year, and we can’t wait for that one either.
