Reports filtering through the internet suggest that The Mutant Chronicles, directed by Simon Hunter, is complete but the studio are sitting on the film.
Voltage Pictures has been extremely low key in its promotion of the film, which may sound like a cheap indie horror, but actually has a cast that includes Ron Perlman, Thomas Jane and John Malkovich. The script was written by Philip Eisner, who also penned the sci-fi scarefest Event Horizon.
The Mutant Chronicles is set in the 23rd Century, in which a soldier must fight against an entire underworld full of the titular creatures. While there has been no domestic release date set, the film is due to premiere in Russia in December.
