The surprise hit of the season, Moonlight, has once again lost its showrunner according to the Hollywood Reporter.
This may sound familiar to fans of the CBS produced series, who are used to key members of the production leaving under dubious circumstances. Details about the departure of Joel Silver and Chip Johannessen are sparse, although reports from the set indicate behind-the-scenes upheaval as the reason for their release.
The show still has four episodes left to film now that the WGA strikes have been resolved, however it’s unlikely that a permanent showrunner will be appointed considering that its renewal status is still up in the air. The episodes are expected to air in April and May.
