Though there’s still talk of a Merlin film trilogy, it’s looking increasingly likely that it won’t star the TV show’s core cast. Arthur actor Bradley James previously opted out, and now Merlin himself has joined him.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Colin Morgan commented, “I don’t think I’d be breaking any rules if I said I don’t think there will be any more.
“It would be the opposite of what I want to be – not the project, but being static. As an actor, you need to be versatile. You need to challenge yourself.”
