With the announcement that Krysten Ritter had been cast as Jessica Jones, it also looks like Marvel and Netflix might have found their Luke Cage.
In the same Deadline report as the Jessica Jones news, the site reported that Ritter had been doing chemistry readings with Mike Colter, who they say is “believed to be the choice for male lead Luke Cage.”
Unlike Ritter, Colter’s best known for his dramatic work. He’s got a lot of TV experience, starring in The Good Wife, American Horror Story and The Following, as well as appearing in movies like Men In Black 3, Zero Dark Thirty and Million Dollar Baby.
As previously reported, Marvel and Netflix plan for Luke Cage to appear in six or seven episodes of Jessica Jones before spinning off into his own solo show.
