According to The Hollywood Reporter, David S Goyer’s script for Zack Snyder’s Batman Vs Superman movie Man Of Steel 2 is getting reworked by Chris Terrio, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Ben Affleck’s Argo.

Rewrites are a common part of the Hollywood landscape, but with such a close Affleck collaborator moving in to take over the direction of Man Of Steel 2, does this mean that the influence of David S Goyer – the traditional guardian of the DC Comics movieverse thanks to his role in writing Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Man Of Steel – is being supplanted by lifelong Batman fan Ben Affleck?

We argued back in August that the Argo star wasn’t only the best person to play Batman, but the best person to direct a Batman reboot too.

With Chris Terrio on board, this looks like the closest we’ll come to that fantasy film yet…
