Mad Max: Fury Road not finished, needs more filming

Three weeks of additional filming in Australia scheduled for Tom Hardy’s Mad Max 4

George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky is still a long way from being completed, as an additional three weeks of filming in Australia have been scheduled.

Inside Film reports that, although six months of shooting in South Africa and Namibia has been finished, the production is moving to Sydney for another three weeks with some principal cast required and an additional casting call going out for some non-speaking roles.

Miller’s return to the Mad Max franchise has been in production for years now, and stars Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough and a cameo from Mel Gibson. It’s currently set for a 2014 release but we’d imagine that’s subject to change.
