Universal’s upcoming Dracula film, starring Luke Evans, was previously titled Dracula: Year Zero, and has now been retitled Dracula Untold.

The title change reflects the film’s story, which will place the focus on his origin, as THR reports it “tells the origin story of the man who became the most famous vampire in the world.”

Luke Evans stars as Dracula, with a supporting cast including Sarah Gadon (Antiviral, Cosmopolis), Dominic Cooper (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). The film is directed by first time helmer Gary Shore.

Dracula Untold is set for a 3 October 2014 release date. You can buy Bram Stoker’s Dracula on Blu-ray for £9.37 at Amazon.co.uk.
