LEGO first signed up for the Star Wars license in 1999, allowing them to release toys and games based on the property, and have had an incredibly fruitful relationship with the brand – the Lego Star Wars games in particular have sold 15 million units worldwide.

“It is very rare to find an evergreen property that delivers growth year-on-year in toys, even in years without events driving box office buzz, yet Star Wars defies all odds, continually reinventing itself, and our Lego business continues to grow exponentially,” said Jill Wilfert, Vice President of Licensing and Entertainment for The Lego Group.

Most recently, LEGO showed off some of its models tying into The Old Republic MMO, with ships and characters from the game premiered at this month’s New York Toy Fair, including a Imperial Fury and Republic Striker ship, Satele Shan and Darth Malgus. Look forward to those in August!
