Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2 trailer goes all out

New challenges are ahead in the Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2 trailer

Big changes are afoot at The CW, and Legends Of Tomorrow is no exception. With Vandal Savage dead and Hawkman and Hawkgirl having left the team, there is new blood – which appears to have come in the form of Justice Society of America member Rex Tyler, aka Hourman (Patrick J Adams), who we see more of below in the first trailer for Season 2.

He’ll be joined by fellow JSA members Obsidian, Stargirl and Dr Mid-Nite (none of which have actually been cast yet), although this is far from the most exciting reveal. Those of you who have watched the trailer will have seen a younger version of Damien Darhk (Neal Mcdonough) squaring off against Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) – although his presence is just scraping the surface.

He is just one member of a new evil super-team, the Legion of Doom, whose other members include Berlanti-verse mainstays Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) and… Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). Yep, despite the small matter of being dead, he’s back (although like Barrowman, he did sign a multi-series deal, so it shouldn’t be a huge surprise). We’ve had supervillain team-ups on The CW before, but never actual teams. Should be exciting.

Speaking in a statement, co-executive producer Marc Guggenheim said:

“For season two of Legends, we decided that the perfect antagonist for TV’s first-ever team of Super Heroes would be TV’s first-ever team of Super-Villains, recruited from the ranks of Arrow and The Flash’s deadliest adversaries. Being huge fans of the Challenge of the Superfriends, we’ve come to call this group our ‘Legion of Doom.’”

Legends Of Tomorrow will air from 13 October 2016 on The CW in the US, and in the UK on Sky1 later in the year. You can downloadThe 25 Greatest DC Comics Ever digital edition from GreatDigitalMags.com now. For all the latest movie news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
