While Kong: Skull Island continues to finalise its cast, another pair of hands has been brought on to work on the script for Legendary’s latest monster mash.
THR reports that Jurassic World and Safety Not Guaranteed writer Derek Connolly has signed on to have a bash at the screenplay, written by Max Borenstein (Godzilla). Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler) and John Gatins (Flight) have also had a go.
The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Corey Hawkins, while Samuel L Jackson, John C Reilly, Russell Crowe and Tom Wilkinson have all been rumoured to be circling the project. JK Simmons and Michael Keaton dropped out after the shoot moved and scheduling became an issue.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings Of Summer) directs.
Kong: Skull Island will be released on 10 March 2017 in the UK. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
