Justice League: logo and synopsis revealed

Turns out Justice League will be just the one movie… for now

It’s been a big week with regards Justice League news. Firstly, we heard that despite initially hearing news to the contrary (they definitely said initially that it would be released in two parts, right? We’re sure that’s what they said. We wrote it down and everything), it turns out it will be released in just one (presumably giant-sized) instalment. Now, as you can see above, it has both a snazzy new logo, and an actual synopsis, which you can read below.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.  Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.  But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Granted, it doesn’t exactly tell us a lot that we couldn’t already have worked out by ourselves, but it’s nice to see Wonder Woman being positioned at the head of the team alongside Bruce, especially considering that she was arguably the best thing about Batman V Superman. Other nuggets of Justice League-themed info have also made their way into the public sphere, but more on those later.

Thus far, the cast list for Justice League includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, JK Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Amber Heard, Amy Adams and Jesse Eisenberg. Zack Snyder is directing from a script penned by Chris Terrio.

Justice League will be released in cinemas on 17 November 2017. You can download The 25 Greatest DC Comics Ever digital edition from GreatDigitalMags.com now. Watch our video review of Batman V Superman here. For more news about the latest movies pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
