Justice League first trailer brings together DC’s finest

The Justice League assemble in the first trailer for DC’s big team-up

Okay, so the first trailer for Justice League has landed. Our thoughts? We’re actually rather impressed.

It’s as if DC/Warner Bros have directly taken on board some of the biggest complaints levelled at Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Didn’t have a clue what was going on? This addresses these concerns, putting Bruce Wayne and Wonder Woman’s attempts to recruit a new team to combat a new threat (Steppenwolf) at the forefront.

Not enough Wonder Woman? There’s plenty of Gal Gadot here, with a reassuringly amusing amount of back and forth with Affleck’s Dark Knight.

Don’t know who the major players are? This takes pains to introduce the majority of them: while Batman’s attempts to recruit Arthur Curry/Aquaman are met with resistance (and physical violence), Barry Allen/The Flash (Ezra Miller) is rather more approachable to his charms. Not as much time is spent detailing the history of Cyborg (Ray Fisher), but we’re sure we’ll find out more soon enough.

Anyway, don’t just take our word for it: watch the damn thing.

Below is the official synopsis for Justice League:

Fuelled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.  Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.  But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League will be released in cinemas on 17 November 2017. You can download The 25 Greatest DC Comics Ever digital edition from GreatDigitalMags.com now. For all the latest movie news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
