Joss Whedon‘s eagerly anticipated SHIELD TV pilot is going great guns already – it was only announced a few months ago and here’s the second casting announcement after Clark Gregg’s returning Agent Coulson (I’ve got £50 on him being a Life Model Decoy).
Stargate Universe and ER regular Ming-Na Wen, whose other genre credits include a recurring role in Eureka and voicing Detective Ellen Yin in The Batman, will be taking on the role of Agent Melinda May. Described as “soulful and slightly damaged by her combat experiences, Melinda is an ace pilot, a weapons expert and a soldier who can — and has — gone beyond the call of duty.”
