Joss Whedon’s next feature film project will be a horror film entitled Cabin In The Woods, according to MTV.
“It’s genius, it’s funny. It’s got a harder and darker edge, but it’s also got classic Whedon qualities. It’ll rip your heart out and be heartfelt at the same time,” writer Drew Goddard, who is also involved with the project, told the music channel in the same interview.
Whedon is best known for his work on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which he created and served as an executive producer on following a failed 1992 film, also written by him. He later won the adoration of science-fiction fans everywhere for Firefly, a short-lived space-western that became a cult phenomenon, eventually spawning a feature film and several comics. His latest project Dollhouse, starring Eliza Dushku, will air in the new season.
