Joker trailer sees Joaquin Phoenix become the Clown Prince of Crime

Arthur Fleck chooses on a new name for himself and Joaquin Phoenix dazzles in the new Joker trailer

A new trailer for Todd Phillips’ Joker has arrived and while it’s still not giving much away in terms of details, it does show off more of Joaquin Phoenix’s performance and sees the character name himself…

And plus there’s Marc Maron, too.

Joker is directed by Phillips from a script by Phillips and Scott Silver, and produced by Phillips, Bradley Cooper and Emma Tillinger Koskoff. It stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais and Shea Whigham.

Read the film’s synopsis here:

Joker centres around the iconic arch-nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. The exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.
