The Dark Knight is still screening, Chris Nolan is on holiday refusing to comment as to whether he will return for a sequel, but this hasn’t stopped the internet rumour mill churning away with casting proposals for the sequel. Angelina Jolie is lined up for Catwoman, supposedly, as is Johnny Depp for The Riddler, which the Pirates actor addressed recently during a radio phone in when a caller enquired as to whether he would be interested in/had been approached about the role.
“It seems like it’d be a fun gig, yeah”, was his response. An off-the-cuff remark for sure, but one that doesn’t rule out such a casting choice. Our personal fave rumour doing the rounds, though, is that Nolan wants pop-rocking has-been Cher to play Catwoman. Just imagine…
