According to Variety, Fringe and Lost creator JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot production company and Warner Bros have moved forward to develop a limited event series based on Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling’s final, unfilmed screenplay The Stops Along The Way.

“I’m terribly, wonderfully excited that JJ is interested and going to do it,” said Carol Serling, Rod Serling’s widow, who met with Abrams to discuss the rights. “It was one of my husband’s favourite pieces. He thought it had great potential.”

Though Carol Serling doesn’t disclose any details, she does tease “a little bit of fantasy, a little bit of imagination” and that the story “takes place over a long period of time.”
