JJ Abrams’ God Particle casts The Night Manager star

Find out who’s joined JJ Abrams’ next big movie, God Particle

Well, JJ Abrams is certainly intent on keeping busy. Having helmed Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the third highest-grossing film of all time (and remaining on board as producer for Epidoes VIII and IX), he is remaining in the world of sci-fi with Paramount’s God Particle, taking place in the near future and telling of a group of astronauts who make a discovery that both challenges everything they know and leaves them with a fight for their lives. So basically the stakes are big. Now, another name has been added to the cast in the form of Elizabeth Debicki.

According to a report on Variety, the star of the BBC’s The Night Manager will join a cast that already includes the likes of David Oyelowo (Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Star Wars: Rebels), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle, Jupiter Ascending) and John Krasinski (The Office, Away We Go), playing one of their fellow astronauts. Having also starred in the big-budget likes of Everest and The Man From UNCLE, and soon to be showing up in Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2, it represents another notable career move for her – and more than anything it’s nice to have her in something that we can actually cover. The cast was already an impressive one, and her addition only serves to cap it off. Hopefully there will be even more names to follow.
