Jensen Ackles, half of the Winchester brothers in The CW’s Supernatural, is in talks to play the lead in My Bloody Valentine 3D. The film, which is a remake of the 1981 slasher movie of the same name (minus the 3D jazz, of course), will be directed by Patrick Lussier for Lionsgate.
Ackles will star as Tom, a young man who returns to his home a decade after a particularly violent murder spree rocked the town on Valentine’s night. Ackles will be following in the footsteps of his Supernatural co-star Jared Padalecki who has signed on for a horror remake of his own, the younger Winchester brother opting for Friday The 13th over February the 14th, though.
