Apollo 13 stars Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise and Ed Harris among others, directed by Ron Howard. The film grossed over $355 million (approx. £239 million) on its theatrical release, and currently has a 96 per cent rating on reviews aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. The film follows the real-life story of the titular mission, which encountered huge difficulties when it was launched and nearly killed the crew of the ship.
