Incredibles 2 reveals new voice cast and characters

Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush and more have joined the cast of Incredibles 2

Finally, more Incredibles 2 news! The film has revealed a new cast of characters and their voice actors that you can expect to see on screens later this year. Flick through the gallery above to take a look at the characters, which hilariously have been released to look like the Google Arts and Culture selfie app.

The original cast — made up of Craig T Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr Incredible, Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/Elastigirl, Samuel L Jackson as Lucius Best/Frozone, Sarah Vowell as Violet Parr and Brad Bird as Edna Mode — are all returning, with the addition of Huck Milner as Dash Parr, what with the original Dash voice actor now being an adult and everything.

They will be joined by Sophia Bush as Voyd, an Elastigirl fan with the power to create voids, Isabella Rossellini as Ambassador, an advocate for superheroes to be legalised, Jonathan Banks as the excellently named Rick Dicker, a government leader who helped the Parrs keel their identities secret, Bob Odenkirk as Winston Deavor, a superhero fan and the leader of a telecommunications company, and Catherine Keener as Winston’s sister Evelyn, a tech genius.

Where the first Incredibles film followed Bob Parr on his journey to getting his superhero mojo back, the new film will focus more on Helen Parr. You can read the full synopsis for the film here:

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in Incredibles 2 – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

Directed by Brad Bird (Iron Giant, The Incredibles) and produced by John Walker (The Incredibles) and Nicole Grindle (Sanjay’s Super Team short, Toy Story 3associate producer), Incredibles 2 busts into theatres on June 15, 2018.

Incredibles 2 is in cinemas from 13 July 2018 in the UK. Get all the latest superhero news with every issue of SciFiNow.
