We were huge fans of Rod Blackhurst and David Ebeltoft’s Here Alone when it played at FrightFest last year (read what we thought here) and it’s finally heading towards a US release on 31 March. Here’s the trailer:
Blackhurst and Ebeltoft are the duo behind Netflix’s acclaimed Amanda Knox documentary, and this is clearly something quite different…It’s a slow-burn, affecting character study with a great performance from Lucy Walters as a woman stranded at the end of the world who is suddenly forced to make some adjustments with the arrival of two newcomers.
Well, here’s the official synopsis:
“In HERE ALONE, a young woman struggles to survive on her own in the wake of a mysterious epidemic that has decimated society and forced her deep into the unforgiving wilderness, until she encounters two other survivors who make her confront her past while putting all of their lives at risk.”
Here Alone stars Lucy Walters (Falling Water), Gina Piersanti, Adam David Thompson (Mozart In The Jungle), and Shane West (Salem).
Here Alone will be released in cinemas and on VOD in the US on 31 March. No UK release date has been announced.
