Upcoming indie horror film Hell House has cast a trio of stars, according to Deadline. Boarding the project are Stefanie Scott, Odessa Adlon and Jess Weixler. They join a cast currently made up of just Gene Jones (No Country For Old Men, The Hateful Eight) and Michael Abbott Jr (The Death Of Dick Long).
Hell House is set to follow “the complicated relationship between small town high school peers Dawn (played by Scott) and Makayla in the Deep South, on the eve of a religious-themed Halloween attraction or ‘hell house’ grand opening, and the various townspeople who try to keep the two apart, with disastrous results.”
Scott is known to horror fans as Quinn Brenner in Insidious: Chapter 3, as well as for her work in Beautiful Boy, Mary and Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm. Adlon, who is the sister of The Society‘s Gideon Adlon, is known for appearing in the likes of Nashville, Grand Army and Fam. Weixler’s credits include It Chapter Two, The Death Of Dick Long and horror-comedy Teeth.
The film is being written and directed by Andrew Gori, and co-financed and produced by Camera Ready Pictures. Dennis Masel, Jamie Dolan, William Day Frank and Tara Ansley are all producing, and the film is set to start production this autumn.
