Helix Season 3 cancelled by Syfy

Syfy announces that they’ve cancelled Helix as Season 2 will be the last

HelixThe Syfy show Helix, created by Cameron Porsandeh and produced by Ronald D Moore will not be returning for a third season.

THR reports that the series, which starred Billy Campbell and Kyra Zagorsky as CDC scientists fighting a potentially devastating outbreak, first in the Arctic and then in St Germain, has been cancelled after two seasons.

From the report, it sounds as though Helix is the victim of Syfy’s busy slate, which includes shows like 12 Monkeys, Defiance, Haven, Dark Matter and Z Nation, as well as big, expensive new shows Expanse, Childhood’s End and Hunters.
