Happy! Season 2 adds Weird Al Yankovic as Smoking Man Baby

Happy! adds musical comedy legend Weird Al to Season 2

Happy! is about to get even weirder: musician ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic is set to guest star in Season 2, according to TVLine.

Weird Al will be taking on the role of ‘Smoking Man Baby’, a character that has been described as “toxic masculinity in a diaper” and a “jealous, volatile baby blowhard with full tats and a cigarette always dangling from his mouth.”

Like the Patton Oswalt-voiced unicorn known as Happy, Smoking Man Baby will be animated.

TVLine also revealed a first look sketch of the character, which you can see here:

Following on from Season 1 of the series, which was set at Christmas time, Season 2 will take place during the Easter holidays. Other guest stars for the new season include Ann-Margret and wrestler Big Show.

Happy! stars Christopher Meloni as an ex-cop turned hitman and the voice of Patton Oswald as his imaginary winged horse friend. The series is based on Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s graphic novel of the same name. Patrick Macmanus serves as showrunner, while Grant Morrison, Brian Taylor, Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Toby Jaffe, Meloni and Macmanus are all executive producers.

Happy! is based on New York Times best-selling author Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s graphic novel of the same name. The series follows Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni, Law & Order: SVU) – an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man – who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named Happy (Patton Oswalt).
