Happy Death Day 2U is written and directed by Christopher Landon. It stars Jessica Rothe as Theresa ‘Tree’ Gelbman, Israel Broussard as Carter Davis, Suraj Sharma as Samar Ghosh, Sarah Yarkin as Dre Morgan, Ruby Modine as Lori Spengler and Rachel Matthews as Danielle Bouseman.
Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Jessica Rothe leads the returning cast of HAPPY DEATH DAY 2U, the follow-up to Blumhouse’s (Split, Get Out, The Purge series) surprise 2017 smash hit of riveting, repeating twists and comic turns. This time, our hero Tree Gelbman (Rothe) discovers that dying over and over was surprisingly easier than the dangers that lie ahead.
Jason Blum serves as a producer through his Blumhouse Productions banner, while Happy Death Day executive producers Angela Mancuso and John Baldecchi are joined by EP Samson Mucke. The film will be released by Universal Pictures.
