Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 adds first new cast member

Oldboy actress the first new face to be confirmed for Guardians Of The Galaxy 2

Granted, it’s still a long way away (2017 long way, to be precise), but work is already commencing on Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2, the follow-up to Marvel’s risky – but ultimately massively successful – mega hit. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the first new cast member has been confirmed: Oldboy (the Spike Lee one; not Park-chan Wook’s classic original_ actress Pom Klementieff.

Typically, however, Marvel are remaining tight-lipped regarding exactly what her role entails. She did a fair bit of fighting in Oldboy, so maybe she’ll be another kick-ass alien in the mould of Karen Gillan’s Nebula? Regardless, we’re sure we’ll hear more casting announcements in the coming months.
