Third tier DC hero Booster Gold is the self-aggrandising jock from the future who applies his pro-sports, lime-lighting stealing philosophy to superheroics in the present – always making sure the cameras get his best side as he rescues that cat from the tree. And now he’s coming to Syfy, according to Hollywood Reporter, as the network sign up for an hour-long pilot from two of their regular collaborators, Warehouse 13 and Fringe writer Andrew Kreisberg and No Ordinary Family and Green Lantern executive producer Greg Berlanti.
Booster Gold’s previous small screen outing was in ‘Booster’, a Geoff Johns written episode of the long-running super-soap Smallville, which was broadcast earlier this year. There’s unlikely to be a connection between the two shows, but considering the talent involved perhaps we can hope for a similarly loyal following.
