Green Hornet pushed back to December 2010

Film’s release postponed by five months.

greenhornet1Green Hornet, the upcoming adaptation of the classic radio play, television series and comic book, has seen its release delayed by five months from July to December 2010.

The production has seen numerous problems since its inception, originally losing its director and the actor who was to play the character of Kato. With Michel Gondry on board to helm the feature, Seth Rogen signed on to play Britt Reid and the Kato situation stabilised with Jay Chou reportedly taking on the role, development went full steam ahead and the film had a widely mentioned presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year. The news will be a blow not only for the film, but also for fans, who are widely anticipating the new take on the material, written by Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

In addition to the previously mentioned actors, Cameron Diaz, Edward James Olmos and Nicolas Cage are also slated to appear. Green Hornet will now be released in cinemas on 17 December 2010.
