Goosebumps 2 officially has a proper title

The sequel to Goosebumps finally has a title

If, like us, you were pleasantly surprised by Rob Letterman’s 2015 film Goosebumps, you’ve probably also been eagerly following the progress of Ari Sandel’s sequel.

That progress just progressed even further, with studio Sony Pictures revealing a title at CinemaCon this week: Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween.

Sure, the new subtitle feels a little week, but it’s better than Slappy Halloween, which was previously reported.

With the title announcement came a brief teaser, which confirmed that Jack Black will be returning for the sequel as the voice of Slappy the Dummy. However, it’s currently unclear if he will also be reprising his role of Goosebumps author RL Stine.

Ari Sandel is directing the sequel from a script by Darren Lemke. Alongside the voice of Jack Black, the film also stars Ken Jeong, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Chris Parnell, Madison Iseman, Ben O-Brien, Caleel Harris and Jeremy Ray, as well as returning stars Dylan Minnette, Ryan Lee and Odeya Rush.

Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween is in UK cinemas from 19 October 2018. Get all the latest horror news with every issue of SciFiNow.
